Key Specification Parameters
| Parameter | Range / Description | Performance Metric |
|---|---|---|
| Contaminant Focus | Iron (Fe2+,Fe3+) and Manganese (Mn) | Targeted Removal |
| Media Type | Catalytic Granular Media, Iron Adsorptive Resin, KDF/Activated Carbon Blend | Oxidation and Filtration |
| Max. Iron Concentration | 3 ppm to 10 ppm (Filter Dependent) | Source Water Limitation |
| Filter Housing Size | 10" x 4.5" (Big Blue), 20" x 4.5" (Jumbo) | Required for High Capacity/Flow |
| Iron Reduction Capacity | 1,500 to 10,000 Gallons (Dependent on Iron Level) | Total Volume Before Replacement |
| Max. Flow Rate | 8 GPM to 15 GPM | Ensures Whole House Pressure |
| pH Requirement | Often requires pH of 6.8 or Higher (Media Dependent) | Crucial for Oxidation Chemistry |
The Max. Iron Concentration and pH Requirement are the most critical parameters for iron removal filters. The filter's efficiency is directly tied to the concentration of iron and the water's pH level, as pH influences the rate of iron oxidation. We ensure our cartridges contain high-density, specialized media that can handle concentrations far exceeding the aesthetic threshold of 0.3 ppm. The large filter size (Big Blue/Jumbo) is mandatory to provide the necessary volume of media for high capacity and sufficient contact time at high flow rates. We offer technical guidance to our OEM partners to select the right media blend based on their customers' regional water chemistry, ensuring the highest level of reduction capacity and operational reliability.
